Maximise Your Time by Pursuing Your Purpose

103 33
Everyone has the same amount of time available to them each day.
24 hours.
That's all we get.
Time is the great leveller of people all over the world regardless of their status, level of wealth and knowledge.
You can rest assured that you have exactly the same amount of time in a day as the software tycoons and real estate moguls of this world.
When you make the most of each day, you will, as the tortoise in the old proverb, slowly but surely overtake the sleeping hares of this world.
Money that is lost can be regained, and wounds sustained can be healed, but time that is wasted can never be bought back.
Every moment that has passed is gone, never to return.
With that in mind, how can we maximise the value of this most precious resource? One way is to determine our passion and purpose in life and then spend all our time living them out.
For most people, their purpose in life consists of waking up each day to go to work, dreaming of 'that day' when they will finally have the financial means to retire and do what they really want to do.
Why wait? If you are passionate about something, then that gives you a good indication of what you are meant to do with your life.
There is more to life than just your regular routine and your constantly putting off of your dreams.
Live out your passions, and the wealth, success and happiness that you desire will come after you.
You are meant to be significant.
This doesn't mean that you need to be at the very top of your field or profession.
You don't even need to be at an expert level in anything.
All you need to do is to take what you have in terms of skills, life experiences and interests and share it with another person.
You'll be surprised how much you know, and how good you are at doing what you do! We often take ourselves for granted, because most of us have an unhealthy dose of insecurity.
We tend to think that we're not as good as the next person, that everyone's better than us at something and that makes us useless.
It is true that everyone is better than us at something, but it is true that we are better than everyone else at something too! And by making a positive contribution to someone else, and by creating value for that person through your actions, you will have made a difference in someone else's life.
You may end up filling a need that may have otherwise been unfulfilled, and that makes you significant.
You can never know how your positive impact on one person's life will go on to influence the lives of many others.
When you spend your time giving yourself to others, you will feel great about yourself and more importantly grow in your areas of passion.
So rather than letting your lack of self-confidence stop you from sharing you with others, take a bold step and give them all you've got.
